Oh how the times have changed!

Not really…

The things we do and how we do them have changed a bit, we send email and instant messages vs putting a letter in the mail or make a phone call.

But the messages we convey in those exchanges are still the same are they not?

I remember having to write letters to friends and family when they were away when I was a kid.

Some were super long, some were short, some were full of heart felt emotion about how I missed them, some just had the latest joke I heard … not much different than today is it?

Having to write with a pen and paper, wow I guess I am old …

And stamps ??? I am talking the ones you had to lick, not the ones that came with the sticky goo on them that you peel and stick on an envelope…

So yeah the times have changed, the technology has changed but again we as people are still pretty much the same, especially when it comes to marketing or buying and selling to put it simply…

I am not trying to speak for you here, but I know that “courtesy” and “service” still mean a lot to me when I go to spend my money.

That is not to say I have not bought the things I need or want from a rude person or a person or company that provided less than good service…

But at the end of the day if I can find someone to buy from that I Like, Know and Trust then I will even if it costs a little more!

Because if I have a problem with the product or service then I know I will be able to get it fixed or get help, especially when buying a service like training or coaching to learn a new skill...

You might think you are getting a steal but at the end of the day you need to think about the person you are buying from as well as the product and the price, or you will regret it and waste your hard earned money.

Because I know I have done this as well ...

I recently decided that promoting a product that I have and use was not a good idea, because when I have a problem with the product the support is terrible.

Good product bad support … I can no longer in good faith promote the product or new products from that vendor …

... and if anyone bought one of those products from me, I apologize and I will do whatever I can to make it right, you know who you are so contact me and let’s work it out…

But that is not the main focus of this post…

I want to talk about something I read in the past but just heard again today … cause these days you can listen to someone read you a book on your mobile phone while you walk on a treadmill … oh how the times have changed!

The “QQS” Formula

I am talking about how applying this to having success in marketing your products and/or services effectively…

“QQS” is Quality, plus Quantity, plus the proper Spirit of cooperation = the perfect salesmanship of your product or service.

A closer look is required to understand that formula and really make use of it, because just knowing the “QQS” formula is not enough, you have to take it to the next level and “APPLY IT AS A HABIT!”

  • Quality, is always working and performing in the most efficient manner possible, with the idea of greater efficiency at the forefront of your mind and your main goal.
  • Quantity, give all you can when you can that you are capable to give at all times.
  • Spirit, make it a habit to be agreeable to the best of your ability as long as you are getting cooperation … always be willing to work with people as long as they work with you in an agreeable way.

A perfect example, and a person that stressed this point and was very successful at it was Andrew Carnegie he insisted upon men being agreeable.

He made men who adopted this standard very wealthy and did not have time for anything else.

The main takeaway from this is in life do not just go along to get along, but do not be rude just because you think you can, as you may have something that people want or need.

Like the old saying goes, “you catch more flies with honey.”

Apply “QQS” to your marketing strategies and I guarantee you will see a difference at the quantity and qualities of people you attract to you and your ideas … and ultimately become your customers and/or partners in your business…

P.S. Some will recognize or have seen this “QQS” Formula from the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

If you have not read it (or listened to it) I highly recommend you get a copy and start it today.

So what do you think is your “QQS” rating? Leave a comment and let me know...
